CGW Goes Sari Shopping

Join us on a guided tour of Little India in Artesia, led by Mela Hoyt-Heydon. Learn the ins and outs of where to shop and what to buy.

What to wear: Something you'll be comfortable shopping in and good, sturdy shoes.

Menu: No food or beverage will be offered, but there will be places to buy snacks along the way. Please make sure to eat lunch first, so you can make it through most of the afternoon

Location and Parking: Meetup point with suggestions for parking will be sent after purchase of tickets.

Cost: Tickets, $3 for CGW members and $5 for non-members, will be on sale from 1/13/12 through 01/20/12, or until sold out. Tickets will be limited to 8. No tickets will be sold the day of the event.

Note that CGW Members may purchase tickets for friends and family, but Member rates do NOT apply.

Part 2: CGW Workshop: Sari Wrapping
Sunday, February 26th, 2012, 1-4pm

Diane Yoshitomi will conduct a workshop on how to wrap and drape your sari in correct Indian fashion.  Bring your own sari or practice with one of ours.  Tea and scones will be served.  Limited to 10 persons.
Tickets will be on sale from 2/10/12 - 2/17/12.
$5 Members/ $10 Non-Members

Part 3: CGW Event: Stepping Out in your Sari: Indian Tiffin
Sunday, March 25th, time tbd

We’ll meet in saris at an Indian tea house for tiffin. Whether you’ve chosen to wear your sari Indian fashion, or have created a Regency or other type of garment from it, all are welcome.  How gorgeous we'll all look in our vivid finery from that land of mystery and enchantment!

Tickets ($20 Members/ $25 Non-Members) will be on sale 3/2-10/12
